Google Ads Quality Score and Why It is Very Important

Improve Your Google Ads Quality Score: Pay 2-3 Times Less and Get Better Results!

Hello!

Are you advertising your products or services on Google Ads?

Would you like to understand what Google Ads Quality Score is and how it can affect the cost of your impressions, clicks, and leads?

Let’s see why Google Ads Quality Score is super important, and how improving it can help you pay 2-3 times less while getting better results than your competitors.

Google uses an auction model which means your ads are competing with all other competitors’ ads.

Let’s have a look at our example:

OK so here we have 5 advertisers entering in an auction. Let’s give it a keyword. So our key word for this auction is going to be let’s say ‘diploma of leadership and management’. Now obviously it doesn’t matter what the keyword is it’s just an example. So we have 5 advertisers advertising on the search for this diploma course.

We have Ann who is willing to pay 10 dollars for a click.

Ben who’s willing to pay 8 dollars for a click.

Caroline whose maximum bid is 6 dollars for a click.

David is willing to pay 4 dollars for a click.

And Emily is willing to pay 3 dollars and 50 cents for a click.

Let’s say Ann has a Quality Score of 3, which is low. Ben and Caroline each have a score of 4, which is medium. David has a high score of 7, and Emily has the highest possible score of 10 out of 10.

Google Ads Quality Score and Why It is Very Important

Every time a user types in a query, Google runs an auction and calculates an Ad Rank. Ad Rank is determined by multiplying the Max Bid by the Quality Score. Let’s see what the Ad Rank would be for each of our five advertisers.

Ann gets an Ad Rank of 30, Ben – 32, Caroline – 24, David – 28, and Emily, with her lowest bid of $3.50, gets an Ad Rank of 35, which is the highest among all advertisers.

Now let’s see where all the ads appear for our participants… Caroline, with her lowest Ad Rank of 24, gets the fifth place. David, with an Ad Rank of 28, gets the fourth place. Ann gets the third place with an Ad Rank of 30. Ben gets the second place with an Ad Rank of 32. And most surprisingly, Emily gets the first place.

Now, let’s recap. Emily is paying only $3.50, which is almost three times less than the $10 Ann is willing to pay. Nevertheless, the final result is the opposite – Ann gets third place, while Emily is the clear winner. That is because Emily’s Quality Score is higher, and Google considers her ads more relevant to the users.

I hope you can now see why Google Ads Quality Score is important and how you can pay significantly less than your competitors while achieving better results.
