The Challenge
A Sydney-based NDIS provider specialising in autism support wanted to increase enquiries from families looking for disability support services.
As a relatively new provider, they needed an affordable and predictable way to generate enquiries without relying solely on referrals or word of mouth.
The objective was to build a Meta advertising campaign capable of generating qualified enquiries while maintaining a low cost per lead.
Our Strategy
Rather than running a general awareness campaign, we developed a targeted Meta lead generation campaign designed to encourage potential participants and their families to make an enquiry.
The campaign included:
- A dedicated Meta Lead Generation campaign
- Multiple creative variations for ongoing testing
- Professionally designed graphics
- Facebook and Instagram placements
- Conversion-focused landing page and ad copy
- Continuous optimisation based on campaign performance
By testing different creatives and allowing Meta to optimise delivery, the campaign was able to identify the highest-performing advertisements while maintaining a consistent flow of enquiries.
Results
During the campaign period, the advertising generated:
Enquiries Generated: 19
Average Cost Per Enquiry : $6.97
Advertising Spend: $132.40
Reach: 3,235 people
Impressions: 5,967
With an average cost of less than $7 per enquiry, the campaign delivered a strong return on advertising spend while providing the client with a consistent stream of new enquiries.
Audience Insights
The campaign also provided valuable insights into who was responding to the advertising.
Women generated the vast majority of enquiries
- 95% of enquiries
- Average cost per enquiry: $6.66
The strongest-performing age groups were:
- 45–54 years
- 55–64 years
This aligns with the typical audience responsible for researching and arranging disability support services for family members.
Creative Performance
Three advertisements were tested throughout the campaign.
- Creative A: 17 leads, $6.95 per lead
- Creative B: 1 lead, $9.67 per lead
- Creative C: 1 lead, $4.62 per lead
Running multiple creatives enabled Meta to allocate more budget towards the highest-performing advertisement while continuing to test alternative messaging.
Why the Campaign Worked
Several factors contributed to these results:
- Clear messaging focused on autism support services
- Professionally designed creative assets
- Audience targeting based on likely decision-makers
- Ongoing campaign optimisation
- Multiple creative variations for testing
- A conversion-focused lead generation objective
Rather than simply launching the campaign and leaving it to run, performance was monitored regularly and optimisations were made throughout the campaign.
Key Takeaway
Many NDIS providers depend heavily on referrals and word of mouth. While these channels remain important, paid advertising can provide a predictable source of new enquiries when campaigns are properly planned and optimised.
In this campaign, a total advertising spend of $132.40 generated 19 enquiries at an average cost of $6.97 each, demonstrating that well-managed Meta advertising can be a highly cost-effective lead generation channel for disability service providers.
